Wicked Game 04:17

about

This is the single release of Aquaence's cover of Chris Isaak's well-known song "Wicked Game". This hammered dulcimer and cello version is a new take on the song with a more ethereal/world feel. Victoria K. Chapman, the composer behind Aquaence collaborated with her dear friend and former band mate, Anne Marie Bottcher who provided the cello arrangement and playing. Victoria and Anne Marie formerly played in the now defunct goth ethereal band, Twelfth of Never in the early 2000's.

The cover art, inspired by the desert mountains of the west, was created by Victoria K. Chapman as well, who is an artist/illustrator under the name Weyakin Designs (www.weyakindesigns.com). The image features a red tailed hawk. The song "Wicked Game" always made Victoria think of her visits to the desert for some reason and she wanted to portray that in the art for the song. Look out for a full-length album release soon, featuring a fully illustrated lyric book.
